Gymnastics Instructor 1 Course — Building a Strong Foundation Nationwide

Introduction

The Gymnastics Association of Uganda (GAU) marked a major step in developing grassroots gymnastics with its Gymnastics Instructor 1 Course, bringing together over 25 Physical Education teachers from across the country. This initiative aimed to equip educators with essential coaching skills to foster gymnastics at the school level.

Gymnastics plays a pivotal role in the Ugandan Physical Education curriculum, serving as one of the most comprehensive sports for developing motor skills such as balance, coordination, and flexibility. These foundational skills help children excel in other sports and in daily life.
