Catch Up on Clean Sport: Access the ITA/IF Webinar Series Recordings!

The Uganda Gymnastics Federation is committed to promoting clean sport and ensuring all our athletes and support personnel are fully educated on their rights and responsibilities. We are excited to share that the International Testing Agency (ITA) IF Webinar Series 2025 is now complete, but the critical information shared in these three sessions remains available for you to access! If you missed any of the live webinars on anti-doping, you can still catch up on the official recordings.
The webinar series, organized by the ITA in collaboration with our International Federation, was designed to help you confidently navigate your clean sport journey. Here is a quick recap of the vital anti-doping topics that were covered:

🧠 Key Topics Covered in the Series

Webinar 1:  Introduction to Anti-Doping (Wednesday 29 October)

  •    * Participants learned about Athlete Rights and Responsibilities and the 11 Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs).
  •    * The session also covered the Consequences of Doping and the importance of Proactive Reporting.

Webinar 2: The Prohibited List, Medications, TUEs, and Supplements (Wednesday 5 November)

  •    * This webinar focused on the principle of Strict Liability (that an athlete is solely responsible for anything found in their body).
  •    * It provided essential information on checking medications (like using GlobalDRO), understanding the Prohibited List, and how to manage the risks associated with supplements.
  •    * The session also clarified what Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) are and how to apply for one if needed.

Webinar 3: Testing (Wednesday 12 November)

  •    * The final session offered a good overview of the doping control process, including Testing Procedures and the Doping Control Form.
  •    * Key components discussed included the Athlete Biological Passport (ABP), Testing Pools, and Whereabouts requirements, including the use of ADAMS.
