The 2025 National Gymnastics Championship concluded in Kampala with an electrifying showcase of talent, discipline, and creativity. Over 150 young athletes from across the country competed in categories spanning Rhythmic, Artistic, Acrobatic, and Trampoline Gymnastics.
Top honors went to 12-year-old Lydia Namuddu from Mukono Gymnastics Club, who scored the highest in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics all-around, and Sam Mubiru, 15, who dazzled the judges in Aerobic Gymnastics with unmatched precision.
The event demonstrated how far gymnastics has come since its reintroduction into Uganda’s sports system, with clubs from as far as Gulu and Arua participating.
